Dr. Holly Kirk, Ph.D, M.Ed., LPCC
Dr. Holly Kirk has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Akron, a Master’s Degree from Cleveland State University in Counseling, and earned her PhD in Psychology from Cleveland State University in 2014. Her research interests are in the area of professional ethics and clinical supervision.
Dr. Kirk is a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio and has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her experience includes individual and group counseling, and psychological testing. Dr. Kirk has experience in a variety of areas including ADHD, depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, anger management, post-traumatic stress, and trauma. Additionally, she has a background in parent training methods to assist parents who are struggling to effectively manage behavior of young children.
Dr. Kirk seeks to create a warm, supportive environment for clients and their families and primarily uses cognitive behavioral, systems theory, and solution-focused approaches to therapy. She teaches skills to help clients manage symptoms and improve their mood and behavior. She also assists clients in building relationships with significant others and helps empower her clients to utilize strengths and make positive changes in their lives.
